A Conference for Safeguarding the Future of Nigeria in the Evolving Digital Landscape
SBL is partnering with the Nigeria Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime and hosting the 2020 INTERNATIONAL LEGISLATIVE – STAKEHOLDER CONFERENCE ON CYBERSECURITY. The theme of the Conference is “Digital Technology and the Future of Nigeria”. This is also a step forward in spreading awareness about SBL’s prestigious eParliament product at the International level.
The conference is in response to the Senate’s concern about the growing cyber threats happening because of the acceleration of digital technology. Audits of the digital preparedness of the Federal Ministries have revealed severe infrastructural and capacity deficiencies in cybersecurity. During this conference, we hope to gather critical stakeholders and resolve the challenges of cybersecurity in the evolving digital landscape.
Over 1000 delegates from various countries will be gracing the event with their presence. Organizers have taken all care to ensure the participation of expert professionals including but not limited to Legislators, lawyers, bankers, academics, regulatory and law enforcement agencies, industry professionals, cybersecurity consultants, ICT experts, and other professionals in, technology, and related fields.
We expect an enthusiastic discussion where the challenges in cybersecurity are reviewed and lasting solutions are established for safeguarding the future of Nigeria in the digital ecosystem ravaged by cybercrime.
SBL will be presenting a paper on the topic “Relevance of Digital Parliaments in the Modern Era”. Digitalization has entered all walks of life pointing to the need for law-making bodies also to consider complete digital transformation.
End-to-end digitalization of parliaments and law-making bodies can bring significant operational efficiencies in governance and a host of environmental benefits. SBL’s eParliament solution eliminates paper usage and achieves seamless integration of digital technology in the operations of the law-making bodies.
We would be discussing more on the benefits of eParliament solution at the conference. The event is an opportunity for all of us to learn about the emerging cyber threats, its resolution, and the need for the digital transformation of law-making bodies.
